In any case, is it possible for me to use my validly-purchased copy of City Nav DVD to write to a microSD card that can be used in the new Edge 800? Since I got my original Edge in 2008, it's possible that I bought this as a map update, but did this product include both a microSD card and a DVD? Or did I copy the DVD to a microSD card? I have no memory of any of this (typical at my age!). I also discovered that somewhere along the way I bought City Navigator NT 2009 in DVD format. If you’ve added City Navigator maps in DVD format to a map-compatible fitness device, you need to download the Garmin. Which cannot handle NT maps ended in 2009. (GARMIN MapSource City Navigator Europe). Since I don't need to replace the external accessories, I'll buy the bare-bones version that comes with only the basemap, but does have a microSD slot. This device was recently lost (sob!), so I am looking to replace it with an Edge 800. However, this is where I find myself at today: I have been using an Edge 705 (cycling) GPS that had a City Navigator microSD card installed. I've owned many Garmins over the years and have lost track of the devices, versions of Mapsource, purchased map products, etc.
